Vintage Western Electric 426 Vacuum tube #2 for a 501 party line phone

Description

This 426A tube came out of a 1953 Western Electric 501 phone that was too far gone for me to salvage. This tube is missing it's blackening coating but has the hexagonal base bolt.   I hooked it across one of my networks for a vintage 500 phone on my Cable phone service and noted that the filaments glowed at the base of the tube upon ringing but I do not have equipment to confirm the voltage drop this test produced or if it might light up more with better voltage.
