    PLEASE NOTE: I have been informed by an eBayer the following.
    It is fake. The Bell System was not a manufacturing company, it was a complete corporate "system". Western Electric was the manufacturing arm, Bell Labs was Research and Development, and the local operating companies - ie Pacific Telephone, North Western Bell, etc. provided the phones and service to your home and to commercial establishments. It was dissolved in '84, so after that, some companies felt free to call themselves "Bell", even though they were not, as the Bell System no longer existed.
    I have no way of knowing so be aware that if you are purchasing this that it may not be an
    authentic
