Vintage Amber Lucite Beads 1960s Mid Century Modern 31.5” long beaded Necklace

This lovely vintage necklace is made from amber lucite with gold-tone ball beads and a spring ring clasp.
Made circa 1960s, it measures 31.5" long. The beads are graduated in size...the smallest beads measure approximately 7/8" length and just over 1/4" in diameter; the largest beads are 1.5" long and 5/8" diameter.
They have a nice weighty feel with a total weight of 81.3 grams, not quite as heavy as glass but similar to bakelite, and the beads even have that bakelite 'clunk' sound when knocked together. I bought this necklace from a retiring antique dealer along with a few other bakelite necklaces, and this was the only one that did not pass the Simichrome bakelite test, so it's likely made from lucite or another type of early plastic. The clasp shows a little rubwear but still works perfectly fine, and overall the necklace is in excellent condition with minor signs of age and no flaws to note ♡
