    his original  Automatic Electric  Model  40  in Nile Green. This phone is not painted as some of the phones  on eBay are .  This is an original rare color . This phone is made of Caitlin . The Chrome  hardware  is like new on this one . It is a fully working phone All you have to do is plug it in.
    It has a wonderful ring . Most AE 40s are in Black  . Only the rich and famous had these colored models
    .
    The Automatic Electric Model 40 was introduced in 1938
    The AE  40 is a prime example of art deco design of that era .
    This particular telephone  is very rare "Nile Green" colored deluxe "chrome trim" version. It has chrome bands on the handset, a chrome finger wheel, and a chrome "pickup" bar under the handset.
    The body and receiver have both been molded in "Nile Green" colored plastic called Caitlin.
    The phone has been fully refurbished, and is in excellent working condition. The dial has been lubricated and timed to ensure that it will give years of trouble free service.
    This Nile Green Model 40 was taken out of service in a Prominent Pennslyvania home along with the Red Model 40 in the last picture .
