WESTERN ELECTRIC model 500with Rare Touch Tone Attachment
Dial out with Rotary or Touch tone . How cool is that !! Very unique indeed
Here is an original antique 1953 Western Electric desk telephone that has been restored and it fully works.
This older model 500 is a more desirable telephone and features black plungers, a metal fingerwheel and a heavy bakelite G1 handset. they were made this way from 1952 to 1964 . They were the early 500 model. This one is very rare because of the very hard to find touch tone attachment that doubles as a transmitter . It works flawlessly
Later on they were made with clear finger wheels, clear plungers and plastic handsets.
It was made after the 5302 telephone. The telephone we selected for our restoration was gently used. First we gave it a good cleaning.
Then telephone was polished to make this beauty look better than new.
Its handset has been buffed and polished to a beautiful lustre.
It has a brown cloth woven wall line cord.
The line cord has a modular end so all you have to do is plug it in and enjoy and listen to its beautiful ring. This ringing is provided by 2 nicely polished brass bells which ring in harmony.
The dial has the older metal finger wheel which is better than the later plastic type.
Its bottom feet are in good condition.
You can receive calls
dial outwith rotary or touch tone and use this fully functioning antique.
Imagine what your guests will say when this see this beautiful working phone from the past.
