1958 Soft Plastic Moss Green Western Electric 500 Desk Phone - Full Restoration

Description

This early soft plastic Western Electric is all complete from 1958. Sadly, it was discolored so I had the shell and handset professionally painted. The line cord had been cut off, so I replaced it with a newer cord and put a correct 4-prong plug on it. If you want to plug the phone in to use, just let me know and I'll throw in a modular adapter. The phone is in amazing original condition, even with the original :"open face" finger wheel. The dial card is a reproduction.
Condition:
All of the phones I sell are refurbished to look and work like new. This includes cleaning and lubricating dials, cleaning contacts on TouchTone keypads, updating wiring.
All phones are adapted for modular use, so all you have to do is plug the phone in and use it.
The exterior of plastic and Bakelite phones are polished to a high polish using commercial buffing equipment.
In the case of age discolored plastic phones, I have them repainted at a professional paint shop using the same materials and methods used by the
phone company for a very durable, high shine.
About Digital Dialing:
If you have digital phone service, you will probably be unable to dial out with this phone. This is correctable by building a digital converter into the phone. With this device installed you will be able to use this phone on any digital system. You will even be able to use # and *.

Warranty & Returns:

If you do not like your phone for any reason, you are welcome to return it for a full refund within

of the sale date. Shipping charges are not refundable.
I must receive the phone back in the same condition it was sent out. So please pack carefully. I will not refund if it is damaged in shipping. You'll have to file a claim with the post office.
