Description
Hello from Soldan Models, Alex Xydias was born in 1922 in Los Angles, served in World War II as a radio operator and engineer on a B-17. In 1946 Alex opened the SoCal Speed Shop in Burbank Ca. where his legend begins. Alex designed the streamliner for the solepurpose of going fast, and in 1950 went 210mph to win top honors. The engine, a 1949 Mercury with many modifications, the frame was made from a Model T Ford rails. Total length of the car is 15 feet wheelbase at 96 inches and a solid sheet aluminum pan on the bottom gives clean lines. This is the
original Black
version, there are also other versions, white with gold lettering, silver with gold, the last photo shows all four versions including the Hot Rod Magazine Special. Each model is hand made and finished, mounted to a base for display. If you are interested in the white or Hot Rod Magazine version please let me know, i build 3 to 5 at a time depending on the demand.
